What is Smart SlideCart?
Smart SlideCart is a Shopify app that replaces the default cart with a
customizable AJAX slide-out drawer. Merchants use it to raise average order
value with free shipping goals, rewards, upsells, cross-sells, free gifts,
discounts, add-ons, and a sticky cart.
How do I show the cart on my theme?
Enable the Smart SlideCart app embed under Online Store →
Themes → Customize → App embeds, then Save. Optionally add Slide Cart or
Sticky Cart app blocks. Also enable the slide cart in Cart Builder inside the app.
Which themes are supported?
Smart SlideCart is built for Online Store 2.0. Tested patterns work with Dawn,
Impulse, Prestige, Refresh, Warehouse, Motion, Empire, Flex, Sense, Symmetry,
Turbo, and similar OS 2.0 themes.
What is included on the free Starter plan?
Starter is free forever for stores with up to 200 orders per month. It includes
Cart Builder, free shipping bar, rewards, announcements, discounts, analytics,
and custom CSS. Sticky cart, upsells, cross-sells, add-ons, additional notes,
custom progress icons, and custom HTML require Growth or Professional.
When should I upgrade to Growth or Professional?
Upgrade to Growth if you need upsells, sticky cart, add-ons, or custom HTML,
or if you process more than 200 orders per month (Growth supports up to 500).

The drawer does not open on the storefront. What should I check?
Confirm the app is installed, the slide cart is enabled in Cart Builder, and
the Smart SlideCart app embed is turned on and saved. Hard-refresh the
storefront. If config still fails to load, confirm the app proxy path
/apps/slidecart is available for your shop.
Cart Builder changes are not showing. Why?
Save in Cart Builder, then refresh the storefront (and clear cache if your
theme or CDN caches aggressively). Enable caching carefully in Settings — after
large style changes, refresh again so the new config is fetched.
Can I use custom CSS or HTML in the drawer?
Custom CSS is available on Starter and higher. Custom HTML requires Growth or
Professional (or the Development plan on a development store). Keep custom JS
minimal for best performance.
Do I need to edit Liquid?
No. Smart SlideCart ships as a Theme App Extension. Use the app embed and
optional app blocks in the theme editor — no manual Liquid edits are required
for standard setups.
